1. What is the Rock N' Rib Fest? Outdoor event featuring barbecue rib restaurants & caterers serving great ribs along with cold beveages, live classic rock music, kids zone, Arts & Crafts plus a rib & burger eating contest.

2. What are the event hours? 1 pm to 9pm

3. Is it a free event? Yes event is free and open to the public.

4. Is this event is 21 and up? No

It is all ages but you must be 21 to drink alcohol.

Alcohol can only be consumed on festival site on the street but not within the Gwinnett County courthouse lawn & property.

5. Where is festival held? On the Square in Downtown Lawrenceville

8. How much are ribs?

Food for the event is based on ticket system similar to a food festival. The goal of the event is for particpants to sample ribs from all the vendors. Tickets are $3 each and good for 2 barbecue ribs or a sandwich or a plate or 2 sides.

Ex: 2 tickets could be redeemed for 4 ribs or 2 ribs and 2 sides. 1 ticket is the minimum order at each rib booth. You can buy tickets in packs at the two booths located at the festival on Crogran & Perry St in the middle of the street.

9. Can we buy other food besides ribs. Yes We will have the following menu items available from various food vendors. Pura Enchilada: Mexican Oyster Bay: Sloppy Jo, Crab Cake Sandwiches, Gumbo w/rice, Hot Dogs, Cole Slaw, Black Beans and Rice, Chips & Potato Salad Rita's Italian Ice: Italian Ice Cool Hawaiian: Shaved Ice Sweets on the Square: Cakes, Cookies & Brownies

10. Will we be able to buy anything to drink? Yes Water, Soft Drinks, Sports Drinks, Beer & wine will be sold at the event. Beer & wine is available at two locations on the street. Beer cannot be consumed on the courthouse property.

11. Can we bring chairs & blankets? Yes

12. What will the kids area feature? Obstacle Course, Bounces & Slides along with Facepainters & Kid Tattoo Art

13. Are pets allowed? No, For safety of pets and people attending festival.

14. Tell me about the Burger & Rib Eating Contest? 10 Contestants for Each Contest

Burger Eating (For Gwinnett College Students & Faculty Only): 10 min time limit....first one to finish or most eaten in 10 mins - Fully loaded 2lb triple bacon cheeseburger - Time TBA

Rib Eating (Open to any particpants): Most ribs consumed in three minutes - Time TBA Please email us at events@usaentertainment.net to sign up for contest.

Deadline for email signup is 5PM Thursday before the festival.
After that please sign up that day at the 97.1 The River booth.
No cost for entering the food eating contest.
The contest will be near the music stage so please be ready 15 minutes before contests.
Prizes will be awared to top 3 winners.

16. Can we bring in food & beverages? Unfortunately outside food & beverages are not allowed to be brought into the festival. Bottled water is allowed (One per person) along with special dietary food or baby food.
